#TheDollEvolves: Barbie Now Comes In Different Body Shapes, Colors
Starting Thursday, you might be able to find a Barbie that looks like you.
Mattel, the maker of Barbie, announced that the doll would now be coming in three new body types—curvy, tall and petite—along with the original body form. The dolls will also be available in 7 different skin tones, 22 eye colors, and 24 hairstyles, as explained on their official website.
"This is radical cause we are saying that there isn't this narrow standard of what a beautiful body looks like," Robert Best, senior director product design explained in 'The Evolution of Barbie' video, "This is what our future looks like because this is what the world looks like."
